Tradies Health Month – August 2018
August is Tradies Health Month, and WIP Construction are calling on tradies to make their health – and the health of their co-workers – a priority. Being a tradie, your body is the most important tool you own. If it is damaged through injury or ill health you may not be able to work to your best ability…and if you can’t work, you can’t earn a living.
Tradies National Health Month raises awareness of the health and injury risks affecting those who work in trade occupations—among tradies themselves, their families, employers and the wider community. With statistics showing almost 3 in 5 serious workplace injuries involve a tradie—despite making up only 30 per cent of the workforce—tradies’ health must be everyone’s priority. Help us spread the message and keep Aussie tradies healthy.
We are supporting the Tradies Health Month and encourage all our workers to see a physiotherapist about any aches and pains you have, or are carrying with you day to day. It can be as simple as doing some proper warm ups with your work mates before the work day begins.
