The project for the Cootharinga Society of Cairns involved an extensive refurbishment of a residential supported accommodation facility. The facility contained asbestos which needed to be removed prior to the renovation and was performed by our licensed team members. Major structural alterations took place including a roof replacement, extensive internal wall strip out and commercial kitchen installation. A full glazing replacement took place which included an automatic door entry system in accordance with disability standards.

Close attention was given to AS1428 (Disability Standards) during the project due to the nature of the facility and included nurse call systems and panic alarm systems. The project was built to a high standard in conjunction with the requirements of the client and was a successful project for WIP construction.
