Sponsorships

WE HAVE LONG HISTORY OF SUPPORTING OUR LOCAL
COMMUNITY

Over the years, WIP has sponsored a number of sporting teams and community groups including donations to organisations that our values align with. Some of these groups include the Masig Men’s and Ladies Volley ball team, Poruma Beach Volleyball Team, Roxin Eagles Island of Origin, FNQ Wildlife Sponsor, Cairns Rowing Club and many more. Through support and engagement, we want to have a positive influence in the communities that we operate. We want to do more than just employ local trades and suppliers, we want to have a positive impact on the greater community.

Indigenous Training

WE LOG, ON AVERAGE, 6000+ INDIGENOUS HOURS
EVERY YEAR

Having operations in the Far North, Cape York and throughout the Torres Strait Islands; WIP have a long history of Indigenous engagement through training and workforce hire. One of our core values at WIP, is to leave a lasting legacy well beyond completion of our projects through training and up-skilling. At WIP, we support long term relationships between our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities and continue to develop these relationships year on year.

Apprentice Development

OUR STAFF ARE ONE OF OUR GREATEST ASSETS, WE’VE BEEN LUCKY TO RETAIN STAFF THROUGH MANY YEARS IN OUR COMPANY. THAT’S OUR STRENGTH.

Some of WIP’s Site Supervisors started their careers at the company as apprentices more than 10 years ago. This is testament to the investment made in our staff; an investment that the company benefits from through the craftmanship and loyalty that our skilled workers bring to site, each and every day. Over the years, WIP have developed 14 apprentices from aspiring tradesmen to fully qualified builders and carpenters. These skilled tradesmen form the backbone of our dedication to quality workmanship and finishing.

THE WIP DIFFERENCE

Core values

At WIP, our fundamental principles revolve around three critical facets of our business: our people, our project delivery, and our client outcomes. We are committed not only to achieving remarkable results for our clients but also to ensuring the safety of our workers so they can return home to their families. Moreover, our goal is to create a lasting legacy that extends beyond project completion

We Are Local

Having completed projects in FNQ, Cape York and the Torres Strait Islands, WIP recognises the value of operating locally and providing opportunities for our community. WIP’s management team are all located in the Stratford office and we understand the importance that local knowledge can bring to a project. At WIP, we leverage that local knowledge for our clients to bring them tailored outcomes on every project.

Capabilities

WIP Construction adopts a horizontal leadership and communication structure, enabling us to promptly and comprehensively address our clients’ needs. Our agility allows us to customise our services to the unique requirements of each project. Recognising the inherent complexity of construction projects and the formidable barriers to entry for those outside the industry, we are dedicated to providing solutions with efficiency and expertise.

Experienced

As a leading commercial building company, WIP extends its expertise beyond conventional realms. Holding an asbestos removal license, WIP seamlessly integrates this capability into our commercial operations. Additionally, our involvement in Civil and Mining, along with a dedicated development unit, underscores the breadth and depth of our experience. This wealth of knowledge is harnessed across all our projects to maintain rigorous control over Cost, Quality, and Time.
