OVERVIEW
Environmental Sensitivity: Our commitment to environmental preservation was demonstrated through the diversion of live creeks and careful management of live waterways.
Collaboration with Client: WIP worked in tandem with the client to ensure the success of bulk earthworks, detailed trench excavations, and the construction of culverts, showcasing effective collaboration.
Resource Mobilisation: The project involved the deployment of WIP Concrete’s mobile concrete batching plant, agitators, heavy earthworks equipment, and culvert anti-flotation materials, showcasing our capability in resource mobilisation.
Contract Management: WIP took charge of full contract management, adhering to site health and safety protocols and ensuring alignment with the project’s scope of works.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
- Operational Integration: Daily interaction with site Civil and Mining operations demonstrated WIP’s ability to integrate seamlessly and comply with operational needs, emphasising our dedication to effective working relationships.
- Safety Excellence: Despite the challenges posed by heavy earthworks, heat, and fatigue in a remote mine location, WIP proudly achieved zero health and safety incidents and near misses, underscoring our unwavering commitment to stakeholder well-being.
- Quality Assurance: WIP’s successful implementation of quality assurance procedures ensured the highest standards for flowable fill, anti-flotation, and compaction. We achieved culvert alignment and height within an impressive tolerance of under 10mm compared to project drawings.
- Logistic Mastery: Our logistical expertise was instrumental in mobilising the team to the remote site, utilizing meticulous planning and management for activities such as long haul floating of plant and equipment, weed and seed management, and barge freight.
At WIP Construction, we take pride in delivering projects with excellence, prioritising safety, collaboration, and environmental responsibility. The successful completion of the Amrun Mine site project exemplifies our commitment to quality construction in challenging environments.
