SCOPE OF WORKS

CONTRACT

VALUE
$2.8 Million

OVERVIEW

Design and Construct of a new administrative building for Trinity Anglican School, Woree, incorporating principal and vice principal rooms, large meeting room, school uniform shop, teachers lounge and associated offices for the administration team on a green field site.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

  • Difficulties Construction of the new Stop Drop and Go was still underway, restricting access to site, and services were located a long way from the site. Due to the land being prone to flooding, consideration was made to raise the building pad and surrounding walkways allowing for adequate drainage. Work were undertaken over the extended wet season causing some delays. A fixed budget was applied to the required works.
  • Outcomes With careful planning and cost constraints, we were still able to build an administration block with considerable architectural merit that met the design brief incorporating all requirements of the School administration team and school board. Disruptions to the school were minimal due to the location of the build. With the covered walkway joining the building to the rest of the school and the new Stop Drop and Go area, it has reduced the distance for parents and school visitors to access the administration building, as well as reducing the amount of visitors travelling through the school grounds.
