Commercial

SCOPE OF WORKS
New Build, Civil, Commercial Fitout

CONTRACT
Construct Only

Client
Cassowary Coast Regional Council

VALUE
$6.4 Million

OVERVIEW

The project required WIP Construction to provide building services to construct a new multi-purpose sports facility at the Tully show grounds.
The development required WIP to remove the previous existing structure so the new multi-level grandstand could be built. The facility now has adequate change rooms for multiple teams, canteen and catering facilities, meeting rooms, offices and function room for over 200 people.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

  • Difficulties The project was completed during the wet season in Tully and required a highly organized program to allow trades to execute their skills and progress the project in a continuous manner. Long lead time items such as factory fabricated structural steel, glazing and seating were ordered once the contract was awarded to reduce delays to construction.
  • Outcomes The project was completed successfully on time and allowed sporting teams and associations to begin community programs and sporting events. The client is extremely happy with the project outcomes and quality of WIP’s workmanship and finish which resulted in cost effective administration and delivery.
