Fully qualified Carpenter, Joiner and Licensed Builder with over 26 years’ experience in Cairns, Cape York and the Torres Strait. As WIP’s Managing Director, Richard brings deep expertise in both construction and business leadership.

Matthew Vani

General Manager & Project Manager

Matt is an experienced Project Manager with degrees in Architectural Design and Construction Management. He’s led the delivery of some of WIP’s most high-profile projects.

Steve Naulls

Commercial Manager

Stephen is a Professional Quantity Surveyor with over 47 years’ experience in commercial governance including all forms of construction, civil and mining, road, rail, defence, renewables and the oil and gas industries.

Ross Mackenzie

Construction Manager

With 25+ years in the industry, Ross leads WIP’s 30+ person trade team across FNQ and the Torres Strait. A qualified Builder and carpenter/joiner, he’s been with WIP since 2010.

Anthony Willet

Compliance & Operations Manager

Anthony brings over 10 years’ experience in civil projects, with hands-on expertise in quality, safety and schedules. He holds multiple health and safety qualifications across construction supervision and leadership.

Cheryl Haddrick

Contracts Administrator

Cheryl joined WIP in 2024 with 8+ years in construction. Her project experience spans government, private and remote sectors—bringing sharp contract knowledge and a strong design-to-delivery focus.
